At Landog's Ding Repair, I bring competitive self taught experience to the surfboard repair world. I started experimentally in 2022, and began advertising in Febuary 2025. I bring repairing and board shines to my small business of quick surfboard turnarounds. My commitment to quality means that every surfboard I repair receives the best care possible, ensuring that you can ride with confidence. I understand the value of a reliable board for your surfing adventures.
My basic surfboard repair usually consists of small cracks, small dings on top of the deck of your board, or rail dings along the side. If you have color to your board other than the basic white, you can request a color match at an extra cost if the color is available. The typical basic repair takes about 1 week to turnaround the board. A ding around the size of a quarter would run about $15-$20, but prices are not set and could change depending on the dings position. This is why it is best to get a quote first! I also do $10 board shines no matter how big or small the board is or how little or large the amount is to be removed. Prices can add up with multiple dings at once, which can possible lower the price of each ding together, again depending on the amount and positions.
$10-30
Intermediate repairing will come down to repairs like a larger size of a basic repair. One consisting of being a few quarters wide for example. Another example of this type of repair is bubbling or delamination which is where the fiberglass and the foam of your surfboard will begin separating from each other due to heat exposure. Intermediate also includes the reshaping of the nose or tail of your surfboard missing these parts. Another part of the more intermediate repairing, includes Epoxy foam surfboards. This will include much more care, time, and sadly pricier than your standard polyester surfboard!
$20-35
Advanced repairing comes down to, buckles, fin box replacement, plug replacement (cheapest of the advanced), buckles, snaps, a large reglass. Fin boxes will totally vary depending on FCS 1, FCS 2, Futures, or glass on fins. The typical fin box repair can cost between $40-50 depending on the severity. These parts are in and out of the shop and there is possibility that your fin box will need to be ordered as soon as your repair is scheduled. Large repairs such as replacements and nose snaps will usually take 1-2 weeks for the job to fully be finished and cured by the time it is ready for the water! Best bet is to get a quote with photos to try and see the closest price range possible before the repair starts!
